As we have come to find out, lots of our readers have sleeping problems. While in general this is a pretty broad topic, today we wanted to cover snoring and sleep apnea. Most people tend to down play the importance of snoring and sleep apnea. However these are some pretty darn dangerous sleeping disorders. Its not normal to go to bed and not feel fully rested when you get up. Of course the exception to this is if you did not sleep enough hours. But if you sleep your full 8 hours and your snore wakes you up every so often, this is bad. You will not be able to reach your REM sleep cycle. This cycle is when you get your best rest. It seems like people mainly want sleep apnea home treatment products. They don’t like the idea of going to a doctor for something like this even though they should. However if you insist, here are a few things you can do on your own. You can start by trying to sleep on your side instead of on your back. This will prevent your airway from closing up. Another thing that can be done is lose weight. By focusing on weight loss you might be helping this problem. This is more so important if you recently put on weight and you don’t remember snoring when you were skinny. One other thing you can do is kick the pets out of the bed room. Did you know that allergies can also cause you to snore? If you are someone who has all kinds of dog and cat hairs all over you pillow, change it immediately. If on top of all that you tend to go for a drink before bed, you are making it worse. These are all things that can be done to get rid of or in some cases minimize the chances of snoring. This will in turn minimize the chances of you suffering from apnea.
